Community Lunch

The community lunch is held at Wye Village Hall every Wednesday from 12.15 until 13.30. Food is served at 12.30.

Everyone who lives in Wye is welcome to attend. The main course is provided by Lady Joanna Thornhill School’s catering company, and volunteers provide the dessert.

What's Provided?

The meal consists of a Roast Dinner, Dessert and Tea or Coffee

How much does it cost?

The Community Lunch was initially funded by the Kent Community Foundation which helped get the project started. However there has always been a charge of £5 per person. This covers the catering company’s costs, the tea and coffee and the hall hire.

Who can attend?

The meals were initially aimed at older people, but everyone is welcome. It has become a great social event where you can find out what is happening in and around Wye and enjoy a meal in good company.
